At age 20, Chris Bourgea is the youngest Certified Tea Master in the U.S. He began to have an interest in tea during his senior year of high school. As a sophmore at Anderson University in Anderson, Indiana, he decided to open a business of selling quality teas when his fascination in tea became a passion. In August, 2008 BourgeaTEA was created. Still operating out of his campus house, Chris sells his quality whole leaf teas to cafés, friends and acquaintances, and students on campus. His mission is to inform people about tea and what it can do for them, and provide them with the absolute best teas available.

BourgeaTEA sells 15 different tea blends, both in environmentally eco-friendly tea bags, made personally by Chris, and in loose-leaf form in bulk. Currently, he makes each tea bag by hand, but is in the process of acquiring equipment to automate the process. Once in place, it will free up a considerable amount of his time to expand his marketing reach and increase his acquisition of new customers.
