Afternoon Tea conjures up visions of elegance and gentility and is one of the fastest growing trends in America and around the world. The customs and courtesies related to this ceremony can be disquieting to the uninformed. As the tea venue is now being incorporated in social as well as corporate functions, there is an unprecedented demand for being initiated into the proper etiquette of tea.

There is infinite pleasure in the ceremony of tea, and the rules involved are intended to calm and civilize our overly busy lives. At tea, we are not free to act merely as we please, but with mutual consideration. Sharing tea provides us with the perfect opportunity to observe courtesies that allow host and guest to enjoy a time of accord that goes beyond their respective roles. This attitude of consideration extends to the accessories used in the ceremony and to the tea itself.

You will receive training in social and business etiquette, preparing you to be a host or guest at Cream Teas, Afternoon Teas and High Teas. You will enjoy several favorite recipes offered at various tea venues and you will have the opportunity to practice with the appropriate accessories required learning their proper use.
