Boston Park Plaza Hotel & Towers, in association
with the American Tea Masters Association, present
Tea Extravaganza 2010,
an independent tasting offering tea aficionados the opportunity to sample
some of the finest, rarest and most exquisite loose-leaf teas from premier
estates around the world. This two-day event, led by Chas Kroll,
Certified Tea Master and Executive Director
of the American Tea Masters Association, will take
place in Swans (closed to the public), located in the
Grand Lobby of the Park Plaza, on
Friday, April 23rd from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm
and Saturday, April 24th from 9:00 am to 1:00
pm. An Intimate Luncheon featuring Tea Cuisine
will be served in Pairings Restaurant to conclude the
program. The hotel was the recipient of the 2009 Sante Magazine
Award for Innovative Cuisine for its work with Tea Cuisine.
Similar to a fine wine tasting, this experiential gathering will feature
fourteen high-end, loose-leaf teas to be sampled (none of the
teas will be sold during the event). The tea menu, personally prepared
by Chas Kroll, will include:

1998 Honey Orchid Phoenix Oolong (China), a roasted Dan Cong tea with a pronouned flavor and a mellow and smooth texture and mouth-feel;

Tenbu 1st Flush Half-Shaded Kabusecha (Japan), an organic, partially shaded green tea that is the first picked tea of the new year and produces a remarkably subtle aroma; and
-
Yunnan Dian Hong Golden Buds (China), an early Spring black tea, well-balanced, full-bodied, and unequivocally delightful with a lasting fragrance.

Tickets for the two-day Tea Extravaganza 2010 are available below for $189 each (one ticket for both days). The INTIMATE LUNCHEON featuring "Tea Cuisine" is included in the ticket price.
